Terms of service
Last updated October 17, 2026. These terms are between [Legal entity name] ("General Dispatch", "we") and the business that opens an account ("you").
The service
General Dispatch is a system of record and an agent runtime for local service businesses: it keeps your contacts, jobs, appointments and conversations, and it answers, books, reminds and follows up with your customers by text and phone on your behalf, under the policy you set. It is operated through AI agents, yours or ours, and through a web page for the decisions that need a person.
Your account and your people
You are responsible for the people you add, the credentials you issue, and what your agents do with them. Approvals, confirmations and taking over a conversation are human decisions; the service will not let a key or an automated client make them for you. Keep your credentials secret and tell us at once if one is exposed.
Messaging rules
You may text only people who have consented as described on the SMS program page, and only about their request. The service records consent and refuses to send without it; you agree not to work around that. No promotional, marketing, lending, or age-restricted content may be sent through the service in the current release. You are the registered sender of your messages with the carriers; we file that registration on your behalf with the legal details you give us, which must be accurate. A STOP from any customer is honoured for every message type and may not be overridden.
Fees
Setting up is free. A business's plan ($47 a month) or an agency's plan ($197 a month, unlimited businesses) and phone lines ($10 a month per number) are billed monthly in advance from the day you go live; usage (text segments beyond the line's allowance, call minutes, conversations and follow-ups handled by our agent, email) is billed monthly in arrears at the rate card on our pricing page. A failed payment pauses customer-facing activity until it is settled; your records are kept. Prices may change with thirty days' notice. Unpaid accounts may be suspended; your data remains available to export for thirty days after.
Your data
Your records are yours. We process your customers' information on your instructions and as the privacy policy describes; you are responsible for having the right to give it to us. You may export your records at any time through the tools. We keep consent and opt-out records as the law requires even after an account closes.
What we promise, and what we do not
We will run the service with reasonable care and skill, keep it available and tell you about outages. The service drafts and sends messages automatically; we do not guarantee that every message is correct, that every call is answered, or that a booking is right. You remain responsible for your business and your customers. The service is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows; our total liability to you in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Acceptable use
No unlawful content, no harassment, no messages to people who did not ask for them, no attempts to break the service's rules or to access another business's data. We may suspend an account that puts other businesses' deliverability or our carrier registrations at risk, and will tell you why.
Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time; we may end it with thirty days' notice, or at once for a serious breach. On closing, your phone numbers are released after a grace period and your data is deleted after the export window, except the records the law requires us to keep.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of [State], with disputes in its courts. If a term is unenforceable the rest stand. We may update these terms; the date above changes and continued use after notice is acceptance. Questions: hello@generaldispatch.ai.
